Australian Race Riots

For several years, Arabs in Australia would take their women to beaches where they would swim pretty much fully clothed. While there, the Arab men would yell all sorts of insults at the Australian women who were in their normal swim attire.

Last weekend, a couple of Aussie beach lifesavers at Cronulla Beach were severly beaten by a group of Arabs. That's where the fun begins.

Yesterday, thousands of Anglo Aussies and gangs of Arabs got into it. Police and paramedics were attacked and hospitalised in the worst riot seen in Australia since the 1860's. Of course, some mouthpiece for a group called Forum on Australian-Islamic Relations, Kuranda Seyit, said he never imagined tensions would result in "horrible mob violence".

"It was clearly Australian people victimising another ethnic group. It shows that there is underlying racism running deeply in the Australian psyche. It's been simmering for a few years but I think the latest incident here - people have really let loose their inherent racism and violence … The only thing I am worried about is that it's going to further play on the minds of young Australian Muslims, particularly of Lebanese origin."

See? Nothing to do with the Muslims gangs who have recently beaten and raped Anglos. Nothing to do with the Muslims refusing to assimilate into the Aussie way of life. In fact, it's nothing to do with Muslims at all - it's always someone else's fault.

In a way, I feel that the Aussies got exactly what they deserved. They were way ahead of the U.S. in their multiculti demands. While I was living there, from 1977 to 1991, ethnic groups were actively encouraged to keep culture - and language - to the point where none of them were expected to learn English.

As a cop there, I found many, many occasions when I was unable to communicate with perps. Trying to find interpreters for Greek, Italian, Serbian, etc, etc, could take hours so some fairly nasty people ended up back on the street.

Australia has been sitting back smugly and watching the riots in France, thinking that the French deserved what happened. I'd like to think that this might wake up Australia to the festering sores in their midsts, but since they encouraged the source of these sores, I have my doubts.
