It Ain't Gettin' Any Better

A couple of things this morning jumped out at me, causing only minor damage:

Even tho Justices Souter and Breyer are looking at losing their properties, the Supremes are refusing to take another peek at that "eminent domain" decision they fucked over a while ago. That bit of legal legerdemain reminds me of the Wild and Wooly West of the late 1800's, when the railroads and massive ranch owners bought the local and state governments in order to drive those with no political power off their lands.

The other was former presidential candidate Pat Robertson. Just how much brain damage has this guy suffered over the years? To use his national broadcast to call for the United States Government to assassinate another head of state - no matter who that is - is stupidity at best and criminal at worst. Did he think that Hugo Chavez really needed this bit of ammunition to use against the U.S.? And members of the Wacked-Out Wing of the Religious Right just can't understand why people worry about them.

On a personal note, come back home, Indigo - we miss you!! All is forgiven (mostly) so try fighting thru the bars and chains that the bastard of a laptop has erected and let us know you're still breathing - not everyone sees the comments you leave!!
