I'd Like to Thank the Academy ...

And with those words (or something like that) Dennis Rader gets put away for the rest of his vile unnatural life. If there was ever a prime candidate for the "Dahmer Syndrome", this is it. Let him loose in the general prison population. Please?

Then there's the story about the girl who was killed by a Siberian tiger. Seems she wanted to have her picture taken with this animal, but it licked her leg. She immediately freaked and screamed - which will quite often send 'tame' cats off. This cat wasn't tame to start with (no big cat ever really is), but because it did what nature told it to do, one of the most endangered animals on the planet was destroyed. Sorry, no sympathy for the girl, although the handler might be held responsible.

The International Space Station was left deserted yesterday when both the astronaut and the cosmonaunt went out for a walk at the same time. I understand they had to jimmy the lock since they forgot the keys.

One of the local headlines reads "Leader leaves vigil near Bush ranch for family emergency". I wasn't aware that George Soros had even shown up down there. Live and learn, I guess.

And at Fort Bliss (as in ignorance is ..) something took place which will drive the ACLU nuts. A PFC charged with "abusing" an Al Qaeda turd in Afghanistan wasn't sent to jail. He wasn't even given a Dishonorable Discharge. He was reduced two grades to Private. That's it.

Sometimes justice is served. He should get those pay grades back pretty quick.
