Americans Losing Hospitals?

I got an email yesterday saying that Tucson area hospitals just recieved over $300,000,000. for them to treat illegals. Now, I can only verify about $160 million over a 4 year period, but that's not to say the larger figure is incorrect. Just that I can't verify it.

What can be verified is that the small hospital in Bisbee, AZ, is on the verge of closing down because it's overwhelmed with the criminals coming across the border. Carondelet Holy Cross Hospital in Nogales lost $500,000 last year. Tucson Medical Center closed its trauma center because of uncompensated care. And University Medical Center in Tucson loses close to $1 million a month in unpaid care.

And this is just one microcosm of the border problem. Some of the people in that area are looking at getting an ambulance to take these illegals back to the nearest hospital in Mexico, but the last time that was tried in Nogales, Mexico, the ambulance was used to run drugs into the United States!

On this weekend, most Americans are celebrating our Nation's birth and the liberties and freedoms we enjoy. The timing is a bit off, though. We no longer have any right to property, freedom of speech has been whittled down to what is politically correct - what constitutes hate speech is anybody's guess, and when the Dimmyrats call for a "moderate" for the Supreme Court, well, their version of a moderate is a Nancy Pelosi clone.
