Conservative Crack-Up?

I was just reading Mark Steyn's column today, and he has put voice to something I've been thinking about for some time.

Have you noticed the "I'm so much better than you" letters to the editor that try to slam "The Right", "The Radical Right", etc. over the Terri Schaivo case? They don't even realize how much they contradict themselves.

For a very long time there has been no such thing as intelligent debate within the "Progressives" or the Far Left. All debate has been within the Conservatives. For example, those who wanted Congress to keep out of the Schaivo situation and those who wanted everything possible done to save her are all in the Conservative segment of the populace.

The Leftists, for several decades, has been the party of intolerance in this country, but they have their heads so far up each other's asses that they can't see anything else.
