The Written Word
Just for a giggle, I was reading some of the OpEd pieces at FoxNews and came across two items that really surprised me.
First, 'The Asman Report' led me to an item in Germany's Die Welt by it's owner, Mathias Dopfner. In this, he points out just about every instance where the European cowards left everything to the U.S. to save. And yes, he calls his European bretheren "Cowards"! A great article to read in full.
Next, I started reading John Gibson's 'My Word', where he quotes an article from, of all places, the L.A. Times! This tells about the latest 'must see TV' in Iraq - a reality show where captured terrorists are paraded before the cameras to confess their crimes and, in some cases, be confronted by family members of their victims who beat them with their shoe.
If you don't know the significance of hitting someone with a shoe over there by now, shame on you!
The show is called "Terrorism in the Grip of Justice", and while the L.A.Times can't figure out if those on the show are really terrorists, the Iraqis glued to the TV don't seem to have that problem.
This show looks like it would be a natural for Lebanese TV, don't you think?
