They Did It AGAIN!
I have got to get a copy of that new Constitution of the United States that the Supreme Court is using! Mine has to be out of date.
The first sentence of the AP story today about the latest decision is "The Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that the Constitution forbids the execution of killers who were under 18 when they committed their crimes, ending a practice used in 19 states."
"the Constitution forbids the execution of killers who were under 18 when they committed their crimes"? And they cite the Eighth Amendment as their basis? Cruel and unusual punishment? If that's true, then what was it that these 'underage' monsters did to their victims?
I am depressed.
I also just ran into AcidMan's take on this, along with his carefully reasoned view on the Padilla bullshit. I think he might have started on DeCaf. What'd you think?
