Sir Willie of Redmond

According to this report from the Telegraph (UK), Bill Gates is about to be given a KBE by Queen Elizabeth II. Like all other Americans to receive the honor, he can't demand to be called Sir Bill.

His Knight of the British Empire is for "Services to Global Enterprise", along with the donations he's made to the UK's technology sector.

Needless to say, quite a few people are in a snit about this. I can picture the EU's reaction for a start!
