A Different Gun Law

I read this in the newspaper, so it must be true.

A judge in the Netherlands ruled that a 46 year old man who robbed a bank of the equivalent of US$8,400 can only be charged with US$6,100 of his haul.

The reason for the discrepancy?

It seems the judge allowed the man to deduct the US$2,300 cost of his gun, used in the robbery, as a "legitimate business expense".

Whatever happened to claiming that on your taxes?

Story is from Chuck Shepherd's News of the Weird.
