More Hysterical Finger-Pointing

From NOW to NARAL, from ACT-UP! to the Brady Bill Bunch, the Democrats still just don't get it. The NAACP, Michael Moore and Maureen Dowd don't get it. Donald Kaul isn't even on the same planet. And don't even get me started on the Springsteen Sect or the Hollywood Horrors.

They want so much to see themselves as the party of tolerance and inclusion that they can't bear to look in a mirror anymore. It would show them as they truly are.

In order to be a Democrat today, you must not only accept but be seen to embrace every position put forth relating to women, race, abortion, gun control, and gays. No dissent on any of these issues is tolerated. In their view, to even think of such dissent automatically make you the intolerant one!

This line of thinking leads the party of tolerance to come up with a lot of labels that are great for name-calling. "Homophobes" (does anyone actually fear gays?), Bigots, Gun Nuts, Male Pigs, Neanderthals - the list goes on and on. If you hold any moral values you must be one of the right wing religious crazies. They refuse to see that any value systems other than theirs don't necessarily have to be based in religion; a belief in the system of laws and common courtesy will do for starters.

I thought I was free to make my own decisions about whether to embrace nearly naked males in peacock costumes throwing condoms at priests; the same with using abortion as birth control. Hell, if it's my body to do with as I please, then there would be no illegal drugs!

While racial bigotry exists on an individual level (and always will), the only people oppressing the black community are those who are getting fat off of the oppression - Je$$e Jack$on and Al $harpton. Unfortunately, too many Latinos have been learning that method of entitlement instead of looking at their fellow immigrants from Asia. The good thing is that it's only a small percentage of Latinos who have turned to the Jack$on/$harpton method.

As long as the Democratic Party remains the party of bigotry, intolerance, and ignorance as to what the average American wants, needs and believes, they're going to continue to wander in the wilderness.

I can't see that change coming anytime soon. And, yeah - I know I'll be labeled as intolerant for even raising these issues.
