Why Did Kerry Lose?

I've seen a lot of bitterness from the Left over this election. Many of the correspondents at the Democrat Underground web site are saying that this election was sadder and more depressing than 9-11! And they can't figure out why, with attitudes like that, they lost?

Was John Kerry the wrong candidate? Did the Democrats have the wrong message? Well, let's see what's being blamed for the loss:

- Religious Right?
- Homophobes?
- Abortion?
- Middle American Values?
- Flip Flops?
- Kerry's War / anti War Record?
- European / UN Influence?
- The "Clinton Factor"?
- The Hollywood / Rocker Factor?
- Michael Moore?
- Jobs And Economy?
- Social Security privatization?
- The BinLaden Tape?

- Tay-Rah-za?

What I personally find funny is that, while each of these topics is being floated as "The Reason", the Dems can't seem to realize that it's a combination of all of these reasons why they fared so poorly once they got outside the NewYork/Boston/LosAngeles/SanFrancisco/Seattle areas. I guess that night with Whoopi and friends in New York - you remember that night? - really did share his values!

The Democrats are already getting their excuses ready for 2008, saying that Hillary lost because Americans are "afraid of a strong woman". What other type of person, man or woman would you want to be president?
