When Did They Get So Stupid?
I know that this little exercise has been done to death, but I just can’t help myself. Remember, every one of the Democratic politicians with the single exception of Howard Dean had access to exactly the same intelligence reports and briefings that President Bush did.
Senator Robert (WVa Highways) Byrd: Is demanding an “immediate investigation” due to “the administration’s rhetoric played upon the well-founded fear of the American public about future acts of terrorism.” He also says that the President “bent, stretched or massaged” intel “to make Iraq look like an imminent threat.” But in October of 2002, the Good Klan Senator said: “We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons. Intelligence reports also indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons.”
How about Senator Bob Graham, who seems to try to bash the President at every turn for “exaggerating the threat” of Saddam? In December of 2002, this star of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence said: “We are in possession of what we think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has – and has had for a number of years – a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction.”
And I just couldn’t leave without my personal favorite, John Kerry, who has called for a “Regime Change” in our country which sounded suspiciously like a call for a coup; to his “He misled every one of us” But in January of 2003, John Kerry said, and I quote: "We need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator leading an oppressive regime. The threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real.”
What did they know?
When did they know it?
When did they get so f’kin Stupid?
And why do they think we're so f'kin Stupid?
