When Physics Fails

Right now I'm watching a show on the Science Channel about supermassive black holes.

Now, I'm the kind of guy who reads books on String Theory and books by Stephen Hawking with the vain hope that I'll be able to understand some of it.

Something said in this show got me thinking (no small task). Apparently the very center of a supermassive black hole is something called "The Singularity", and trying to describe it is not currently possible because neither Newtonian Physics nor Quantam Mechanics hold the key.

This is apparently the same problem science is having with "The Singularity" prior to The Big Bang. The mathematics needed to determine what is (or was) out there has yet to be invented - and may never be invented.

And many of these scientists are very quick to deny the possible existence of a Supreme Being.

Go figure.
