Red, White & Blue - Gang Colors?

I've decided to put this at the top of my blog for a while because:

Lark has put a photo of the girl with the necklace in question on the
original entry, and
Ashby, with his typical good taste and understatement, has found another "offender!"

I just got through reading this article at Stark Truth, and my first reaction was "You're shitting me - this must be a joke."

It's no joke. A middle school student made a necklace of red, white and blue beads to recognize and 'help to protect' her uncle and other family who are currently playing in the Kitty Litter.
