Book Review - Peace Kills

I have just finished reading P. J. O'Rourke's latest offering, "Peace Kills". I would like to report that it is up to his normal high standards - I laughed my ass off.

This book is in the vein of "All the Troubles in the World" where he travels to various places in the world such as Kosovo and Israel, discussing such things as where they are currently and how they got this way.

If you are already familiar with O'Rourke's writing, picking this book up will be like visiting an old friend. If, however, P.J. is new to you, I would strongly suggest that you get a copy of "Parliament of Whores" - an extremely irrevelant look at the American political system.

Yes, O'Rourke is a self-proclaimed Conservative; but he will happily take the piss out of either side of the aisle when they show themselves to be arrogant assholes.

I can highly recommend this as great, reasonably light, summer reading.
