England Swings Like a Pendulum Do ...

So much for Roger Miller. According to this, the court is going to decide if PFC England is gonna be allowed to cop a plea over Abu Ghraib. This paragraph is the one that caused me to do the damn coffee-spit again:

"Rick Hernandez, England's civilian lawyer, said Graner would testify on England's behalf during the sentencing phase of the trial. He also said last week that the defense would present evidence during sentencing that England has severe learning disabilities and mental health problems." (emphasis mine)

Well, that's a no-shitter, ain't it? Did those disabilities happen after she enlisted? If not, she don't have 'em!

And is this Graner going to testify as her Sgt-in Charge at the prison, the daddy to her widdle bastard, her soon-to-be hubby?

I know - he's gonna testify as a character reference for her! Shit, he's only doing ten years over this crap!

One question I have for any of the Doggies out there - I know what the Green Beret is, and I know what the Black one was (before the Army fucked that up) - but what the Hell does a Maroon Beret signify?
