Here in Winston Salem, NC, we had a great camp ground at a place called Tanglewood Park. Since this was run by the Forsyth County government, the camp ground was closed a few years ago due to a "lack of funds".

Recently a private company asked to be able to lease this camp ground, restoring it to its beautiful condition. The response of the Forsyth County Deputy Commissioner who oversees this park?

"It's not high on our priority list, and besides, the people who would use it aren't from this county anyway."

Well, no shit, Sherlock! The people who'd use it are normally called "tourists". "Tourists" normally spend money in the local economy. That is money the city of Winston Salem and Forsyth County could really use.

Unbelievable. Wait, strike that - I guess it's all too believable.
