Just Do It, Dammit!

The Spouse has an excuse for not lining up at the polling station today - she's an alien and cannot vote. For that reason she also stays away from any political discussions.

I'm getting ready to go as I type this, since I have to drive to a VA hospital later today.

This has been the most evil campaign I have seen in my 53 years on this rock. Both sides have played fast and loose. But one thing has become very clear: do not listen to the polls or the pundits about how only a handful of states matter. Many of those pollsters have a vested interest in who shows up leading in their poll.

Regardless of where you live or what "color" your state is, go out, get in line and vote. Remember the picture of Truman holding up the newspaper with the headline "Dewey Wins"? Your vote could be the one that tips your state into the candidate's column.

I don't care who you support. You can say all you want, then go into that booth and vote the other way - no one will ever know. Just get out and VOTE!
