The Aftermath

This goes out to all my fellow Marines - active, reserve, retired or former.

After last night's celebration of the Marine Corps' 229th Birthday, many of you are getting out of the rack moaning and groaning today. The celebratory payback is hitting you hard for all the partying you did last night and you're feeling a bit sick and sorry for yourselves.

All I can say is that I have no sympathy for self-inflicted wounds. Suck it up and carry on.

Oh - and to anyone out there who is contemplating joining the Marines - if you've ever heard the phrases "Once a Marine, Always a Marine" or "The Change is Forever", well, believe every f'kin word of it! Don't take my word for it - ask a Marine's spouse!
