An American Hiroshima?

In today’s Winston Salem Urinal there’s an OpEd piece entitled “An American Hiroshima?” by Nicholas D. Kristof of the New York Slimes. You may remember Kristof as the “reporter” who released the Saddam/Niger Yellowcake story about Joe Wilson. As it turned out, Joe Wilson was the leak for the story.

In today’s effort, Kristof seems to have finally figured out that the United States is a target. Not only that, but he has had a real epiphany and concluded that we could be (Horrors! Horrors!) on the receiving end of suitcase nuclear weapons. He has even gone so far as to round up former Secretary of Defense William Perry (no, not him – he was The Fridge) to back him up. Both of these impartial communists are aghast that we are fighting in the Middle East against enemies who don’t have nukes (that we know of). Of course, President Bush is doing things all wrong. Instead we should be fighting those who have these suitcase nukes – whoever they might be.

Just what level of arrogance do you have to have in order to make stupid assumptions like this, and then syndicate your stupidity across the Nation?

The tenor of this piece (of shit) is that both Kristof and Perry have full access to every thought that every member of the Bush government has ever had. They know what the central threats are to our very survival. And they know FOR FACT that the Bush Administration is ignoring these threats. They must be, you see, because the Bush Administration couldn’t possibly withhold information from the public – why, that would go against the Freedom of the Press and The Peoples Right To Know!!

These self-important oxygen thieves upset me. I’ll go lie down now.
