Play Ball!

Should be a fun day today - I'm taking the 7 year-old granddaughter to a baseball game today. The Winston Salem Warthogs, a Class A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. It's a day game and they really do a good job of keeping kids interest. Two mascots dressed in warthogs suits named Wally and Wilbur Warthog (now, THERE'S a job for me!) along with a merry-go-round, fast pitch booth, souvenir store, give-aways - oh, yeah - and a baseball game.

Sitting in those seats is gonna kill me, but it'll worth it to see her face glow under the cotton candy. Some days, being a grandpa is just about the best job in the world!
